Ministries
Many seminaries do an excellent job preparing us theologically for ministry but they don't always adequately prepare us for the practical aspects of ministry. While some seminaries are working hard to improve in this area, there is still a lot that could be done. It is our desire to assist you in areas you may feel ill-prepared for as you seek to live out your ministry calling.

Recovering from the Past
It's easy to get bumps and bruises in ministry. One thing that is learned quickly shepherding is that sheep will sometimes bite. Hope4Pastors is a place where you can dialogue with other ministers who have walked a similar journey and find strength and healing where needed.

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28 NASU

Embracing the Present
Leading God's people can be challenging, especially when the people don't desire to go in the direction God seems to be leading. God often will call us to do "God sized" things that can only be accomplished through His power. Do you feel ill-equipped for the task? Are you becoming distracted with numerous "wild fires" preventing you from leading effectively? Are you stymied by a situation and just need someone else to bounce an idea off of? Whether you're serving in a small church setting with a limited number of staff or in a larger church setting with multiple staff members, Hope4Pastors is here to assist you with your current ministerial challenges.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 NASU

Discovering the Future
One of the greatest challenges as a minister is discerning what God desires us to be doing. Unlike maybe other "careers," ministry is one in which we are constantly seeking guidance by God. In ministry, we don't have the luxury of audibly conversing with our "boss" or having "board meetings" with God in order to receive specific direction and guidance. While God is definitely not a "silent partner," communicating with God and discerning His will can be challenging. And one of the challenges is being careful to separate our own needs or desires from that which is God's. Whether you're contemplating your ministry calling, questioning your current ministry context, seeking a new one, or just endeavoring to work through the visioning process in your current ministry, Hope4Pastors is a place where you can gain information and resources. It is also a place to find others who are willing to work with you through the process and support you any way possible.

"Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day."
Psalm 25:4-5 NASU

Exodus 17:11-13
So it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed, and when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed. But Moses' hands were heavy.

Then they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other.

Thus his hands were steady until the sun set.
